Introducing INIKA’s Beauty Warrior, Robyn Lawley

INIKA Organic | Introducing INIKA’s Beauty Warrior, Robyn Lawley

As Australia’s most celebrated curve model, mother, author, podcaster and environmental activist, Robyn epitomises everything that INIKA Organic stands for; authentically natural, sustainable, and purpose driven.

Robyn was born in New South Wales, Australia and now resides in the NYC with her long-time partner, US lawyer Everest Schmidt, and eight-year-old daughter, Ripley. Best known for her cover of Vogue Italia’s June 2011 issue, Robyn was one of the first curve models featured on the cover of Vogue Italia alongside fellow plus-sized models Tara Lynn and Candice Huffine, shot by Steven Meisel.

In early 2015, Robyn became a Sports Illustrated "Rookie", making her the first "plus-size" model to be featured in the magazine's annual Swimsuit Issue. She has since been in the issue, 2015, 2016, 2017 and in 2018 also filmed the series "In her own words" for the magazine. That same year she was invited to speak on the ELLEN show to share her message of body positivity and inclusivity.

During the pandemic, Robyn created a podcast series called “Everybody” with Robyn Lawley via Audible. Interviewing incredible guests like Turia Pitt and Jameela Jamil—as well as everyday people who continue to conquer the world despite chronic illness—Robyn turns a critical eye on the #BodyPositive movement.

Robyn is passionate about cooking and uses her social platforms to share easy vegan recipes and tips on eating at restaurants around the world.

As a PETA Australia Ambassador Robyn consults and campaigns for animal rights around the world.

In 2022, Robyn returned to Australia to headline the Curve Edit, the first-ever size-inclusive runway at Australian Fashion Week. This is where Robyn was first introduced to INIKA Organic, who was sponsoring the event.

“My journey with INIKA began when I headlined the Curve Edit at last year’s Australian Fashion Week where I got to experience the make-up firsthand. At first, I was simply blown away by how the make-up looked and felt on my skin. Later, when I dug a little deeper, I was so excited to discover that INIKA was leading the way in sustainability as the world’s first plastic neutral make up brand. It’s also vegan and 100% natural. They also have an incredible skincare range that uses powerful organic ingredients and rich botanical actives.

I couldn’t think of a better brand to partner with, so I’m thrilled to share that I am @inikaorganic’s new ambassador!”- Robyn Lawley We are proud to share that all our campaign images with Robyn are completely unretouched, they will not be retouched or airbrushed in any way. Just like INIKA, these images are pure, natural, and untouched.

“Being beautiful doesn’t mean being perfect. We wanted a campaign that reflected our pure authentic brand ethos, delivering a beautiful and powerful campaign that was also natural and real, we therefore made the decision not to retouch any of the images,” added Amanda Connors, Global Chief Marketing Officer for Total Beauty Network.

Robyn is also excited to be a part of the judging panel for People with Purpose, an INIKA Organic initiative designed to recognise, support, and celebrate our unsung community heroes who are doing incredible things in sustainability, environmental protection, or animal welfare. The People with Purpose grant is open to Australian residents and will see the recipient receive $10,000 to further invest in their cause.
